Volunteer opportunities at The Arc of Southeast Iowa
The Arc of Southeast Iowa hosts a variety of programs, services, events and fundraisers that are perfect for a single volunteer or a group. The Arc also welcomes volunteer assistance with maintaining the pArc area (accessible playground and sensory garden). Below are a list of possible volunteer opportunities.
Camp Programming: We offer After School Camp, Full days of camp for planned no school days, and a 8 week long summer camp for school aged clients.
After School Camp:

Teen Summer Camp
- Who: clients aged 8-20
- When: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday 3:00-5:30pm & Thursdays 2:00-5:30pm
- Where: The Arc
Summer Camp:
- Who: clients aged 4-23
- When: 8 weeks from June—August
- Where: Bill Reagan Children Enrichment Center (Arc lower level), Grace Community Church, and Mercer Aquatic Center
spArc Squad:The spArc Squad attends local awareness walks, our annual events, and other community activities to cheer on participants and show support for The Arc.

Parent Support Group: The Arc provides a support group for parents and caregivers who have a child with a disability to discuss self care and topics of interest.

Sibship: a support group for kids who have a sibling with a disability to give them the opportunity to share as a group, have lunch, and enjoy fun community activities.

Group Programming:

Little Tykes Group
Saturday Group Respite: Group Respite is a time for our school aged clients to come together to socialize, craft, play, experience music therapy and much more.
Tykes Play Dates: Time for elementary aged clients to play and have fun.
Movie & ArcCade Nights: Time for clients to watch a movie, eat pizza, and play board games and interactive video games together.

Office & Clerical Assistance: Volunteers can help with various tasks in The Arc administrative office and see the inner workings of a not-for-profit. Tasks can range from filing paperwork to IT assistance. Volunteers can also help with grounds keeping and gardening tasks on our play ground and outdoor space.
Kinnick Concessions: During Hawkeye football season (August-November), The Arc runs a concession stand at all the home games. We are currently looking for 9 or more volunteers for each home game. This is a perfect volunteer event for small groups and anyone who enjoys the football atmosphere! Times will vary depending on the games.
